Edition of 75 copies, numbered and signed by Jaume Plensa; edition of 1000 copies, numbered and signed by laser

This exquisite bibliophile edition is dedicated to the extraordinary wealth of Catalan Romanesque and Gothic painting and a major literary work of Catalan culture: Ramon Llull’s The Book of Wonders.

The careful selection of texts by the poet and medieval specialist Pere Gimferrer covers topics such as God and the angels, heaven and hell, the elements, plants and animals, and mankind. The texts are illustrated with very-high quality reproductions of mural paintings from the eleventh to thirteenth centuries from the collection of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), which allow for the appreciation of details that are difficult to grasp at first sight.

The artistic contribution of Jaume Plensa transforms the case into a sculpture.
